Community Service
Carlbrook School community serviceCommunity service activities provide students with the opportunity to gain an appreciation for what they have, and to share their talent, enthusiasm and effort with others. Students are expected to participate in at least one service project during their time at Carlbrook, and most find it to be an extremely rewarding experience. Carlbrook students are currently involved with a wide variety of local and regional organizations, including the Halifax County Humane Society, Boston Commons Nursing Home, Feed the Community, and Habitat for Humanity.  As a testimony to their commitment and compassion, many Carlbrook students have also continued to engage in extensive service work following their graduation, serving in a wide variety of volunteer positions in countries as diverse as Costa Rica, France, Guatemala, India, Kenya, Morocco and Nepal. Some of the fine service programs through which Carlbrook alumni have participated include: Class Afloat, Cross-Cultural Solutions, I-to-I, Leap Now, Living Routes, National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Sojourns Abroad, Southern France Youth Institute, and Where There Be Dragons.
