Gillan Smith, Ph.D.
Dean of Advising
Dr. Smith received his Masters of Science in Counseling and Guidance and his Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Brigham Young University. He is a Licensed Psychologist, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. He has 20 years of counseling experience with adolescents and families. His former positions include Program Director for Turnabout Day Treatment Program, Clinical Supervisor for Norton Sound Behavioral Health and Adjunct Professor in the Clinical Psychology Department at the University of Alaska. Most recently Dr. Smith was the Clinical Director for Outback Therapeutic Expeditions as well as wilderness therapist for more than 200 adolescents and families.
Gregory Braund, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., L.M.F.T.
Assistant Dean of Advising
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Mr. Braund holds a Bachelor of Science from Ball State University and a Master of Social Work from Indiana University. In addition to more than two decades of experience as an adolescent counselor and clinician, Gregory has served as Program Coordinator for the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program and Director of Child and Adolescent Inpatient Services at Wabash Valley Hospital, and as Clinical Director at Whitewater Valley Care Pavilion.
Greta Lutman, M.A., L.P.C., L.C.A.S
Assistant Dean of Advising
A Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist with over fifteen years of experience working with adolescents and their families, Mrs. Lutman holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University and a Master of Arts from Appalachian State University. Mrs. Lutman worked as a supervisor and counselor in several public and private therapeutic settings in North Carolina prior to joining the Carlbrook faculty, most recently serving as Director of Counseling at Stone Mountain School and as Clinical Director of SUWS of the Carolinas.
Brynn Bodi, M.S.W., L.M.S.W.-CC
Advisor
Focusing on interpersonal practice with children and youth, Ms. Bodi holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Toledo and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Her experience includes several years of clinical work, most recently as a home-based family clinician at Families United in Maine.
Angela Caine, M.S.S.W., L.C.S.W.

Ms. Caine received her Bachelor of Social Science in Psychology from Indiana University and her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville, where she was selected for the National Dean's List. She has several years of experience in individual, group and family counseling, most recently worked as a Therapist for Wellstone Regional Hospital and LifeSpring Mental Health Services in southern Indiana.
Solange Cole, M.S.W.

Ms. Cole graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Social Work and received her Masters of Social Work with a clinical concentration in Child Welfare, both from Virginia Commonwealth University. Solange has held social work positions in both the U.S. and the U.K., most recently working as a counselor for the City of Manassas Department of Family Services in Virginia.
Trevor Grimes, M.S.W., L.M.S.W.

Mr. Grimes received his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and his Master of Arts in Social Work from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. His counseling experience includes work in educational and clinical settings, including the Lindenhurst School District (NY) and the Dept. of Family Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Fridrik Gudmundsson, M.S.W.

With recent work as a Clinical Therapist at LDS Family Services in Salt Lake City, Mr. Gudmundsson holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work degrees from Brigham Young University. He has also served as a Wilderness Therapist at the Aspiro Adventure program and worked with domestic violence victims and their families at the Center for Women and Children in Crisis.
Cara Henry, M.S.W.

Ms. Henry, who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from American University and her Master of Social Work from New York University, was previously employed at Linden Hill School, a residential treatment facility in New York. Cara has also worked in the mental health field at both New York Presbyterian Hospital and the Pediatric Neuroscience Institute at Hackensack University.
Jennifer Kreil, M.S.W.

Ms. Kreil holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from St. Norbert College in Wisconsin and a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She has worked as a Case Manager and Lead Staff at Macht Village Programs in Green Bay, where she developed treatment plans for children with severe emotional disorders, and most recently as a Counselor with NSO Youth Initiative Project in Detroit.
Brandy Litwin, M.S.W.

Ms. Litwin received both her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Master of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University. She possesses counseling experience with both adolescent and adult populations, having been a counseling supervisor for an adult foster care home as well as a high school counselor. Most recently she served as a school social worker at Harbor Creek School in Michigan.
Daniel Perry, M.A., L.L.P.C.

Mr. Perry holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University in Michigan and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Central Michigan University. He has worked with adolescents for several years in both residential and private practice settings, and was previously the director of a day-treatment program for adolescents with substance abuse problems.

Prior to Carlbrook, Ms. Simmerman was employed as an Emergency Services Therapist at the Prince William County Community Services Board and as a Mental Health Specialist at Mary Washington Hospital in Virginia.

With over 20 years of clinical experience, Mr. Georgi is a licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, a Certified Clinical Supervisor, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Group Psychotherapist. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, Masters of Divinity and Masters in Allied Health degrees from Duke University, and completed an Internship and Residency program in Pastoral Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to his work with Carlbrook School, Mr. Georgi also serves as Clinical Director of the Addictions Consult and Intervention Program at Duke University Medical Center, and remains a clinical associate in the Department of Behavioral Medicine as well as a faculty member of the Duke University School of Nursing.
Rebecca Georgi, MS, LPC, LCAS, CCS
Senior Clinician
Specializing in substance abuse education and treatment, Mrs. Georgi is also a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University and has served as Adolescent Substance Abuse Program Director at the Duke Addictions Program. A Licensed Professional Counselor, a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist and a Certified Clinical Supervisor, Mrs. Georgi received a Master of Science degree in Education and Counseling at Indiana University and holds a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Menninger Clinic. She has worked with adolescents and their families for over two decades.
Floyd Wiseman, M.P.H., M.S., M.D.
Psychiatrist
Dr. Wiseman is a board-certified psychiatrist who maintains an office on campus three days each week. After completing his undergraduate and Master of Science degrees at Cornell University and graduating from the University of Texas Medical School, Dr. Wiseman completed his resident training at Duke University Medical Center and served as Chief Resident at Durham Regional Hospital. He has also completed the University of North Carolina-Duke Psychoanalytic Education Program as well as earned a Master of Public Health degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With over two decades of experience, Dr. Wiseman has been affiliated with Duke University Medical Center since his residency.
