Jonathan Gurney, M.S.W., A.C.S.W.
Dean of Alumni and Transition Services
Mr. Gurney, who received his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work degrees from Indiana University, has over 20 years experience working with children and their families. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker he worked as an Outpatient Family Therapist before serving as the Program Director of a dual inpatient/outpatient adolescent program during his tenure at the Charter Behavioral Health organization. Most recently, Mr. Gurney served as Clinical Director of a licensed wilderness program for adolescents in the Pacific Northwest, where he was responsible for oversight of all clinical services.

Alison Streeter, M.Ed.
Director of Alumni Services
A Wells Scholar, Ms. Streeter received her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University and her Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. During the past few years she has worked as a counselor in a number of secondary and collegiate academic settings, most recently at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth.

Anna Gerard, M.S.W., L.C.S.W.
Director of Transition Services
With a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Mrs. Gerard has experience working with a variety of client populations, including children and adolescents. Most recently she worked at the St. Vincent Home for Children in St. Louis, where she specialized in case management and crisis intervention.

Stefanie Sheldon, M.Ed., N.C.C.
Transition Counselor

A Nationally Certified Counselor, Mrs. Sheldon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Guilford College and a Master of Education in Counseling from Old Dominion University.  She possesses several years of post-graduate counseling experience in private schools, including serving as a School Counselor at Steward School in Richmond, Virginia and as Dean of Students at Chatham Hall in Chatham, Virginia.  Mrs. Sheldon has been on the Carlbrook faculty as a member of the Advising department since 2004.

Jared Tonks, M.Coun., Ed.D. (candidate)
Transition Counselor

Mr. Tonks holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University and a Master of Counseling in School Counseling from Idaho State University, and is currently a candidate for a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from ISU.  In addition to his work as an Advisor at Carlbrook School for several years, Mr. Tonks is also a Licensed Professional Counselor who has served as a School Counselor at multiple public secondary schools.
